Sorry guys, still spamming!

One night i couldn’t sleep, but then suddenly this image came up in my head. This beautiful blue-ish hall with soft yellow light pouring from between big pillars and i was running, allmost flying through it. Trees growing from the walls and against the ceiling.

I love imagination so much!!

Done and done~ I finished the shading today, and a whole lot quicker than i’m used to! I’m starting to suspect that i’m allways thinking way to complicated about coloring…hmn.

This’ll be the last time i’m using this kind of line art though, it costs too much time and it makes me way too up tight. So NOPE.

11 colors of Cotman Winsor & Newton watercolors

A drawing of a subject of your choice to go on the first page! You might want to check my art out if you’re unfamiliar with me to see what types of things I usually do

And that’s that. I don’t use any of those watercolor tubes anymore, as I’ve replaced them each with higher quality tubes, so I thought: why not give them away? And I like the fountain pen I’ve been using so much that I think I’d like someone else to try it, too. I’ve also replaced the three brushes I’ve included here, so I don’t need those, either. And a drawing for good measure.

Here are the rules! Please follow these:

No giveaway blogs. I want more people to actually see this and have a chance at getting something; a lot of artists don’t have a lot of money…

It started raining yesterday evening, one of those summer rains, and i suddenly felt the urge to go outside.

Standing on the roof, with a burning orange sun on the horizon and my clothes soaked. The sky a strange mixture of grey-blue and soft yellow. It was cool and the air smelled of wet earth.

Man, did that do my gloomy mood good…

It took a bit of setup but I’m now taking preorders for my art book! For reasons (mostly paypal), I cannot use storenvy for preorders so I have set up a Google form. If you fill out this form you will reserve a copy and only once the books arrive will I bill you. Aaand last one for now! :D

I bought myself a little sketchbook thingy with brown paper. It’s just some sheets stapled together so it doesn’t really have a cover… So i felt like making one! <3 Working on brown paper with white ink and all is so much funnn!

Also arg, how i love jugendstil!!

I’m trying a new approach in coloring. I saw Purplekecleon do this, give the drawing an overall tone and contrast layer in gray scales before adding the actual colors. It looks like it’s a more free and loose way of working, and i could really use that haha.

I’m not quite sure yet how to proceed from here though since the colors behave differently if i just put them over the gray tones. Have to play around with them for a bit, but otherwise it’s pretty fun!

Done! I moved the tv backward a bit. I slaved away at those feet...

and if you don’t like the colors you pick the first time round, don’t be afraid to switch them later on! it’s digital after all xD

i think it’ll work out just fine c: altho i’d try to get all the base colors in p quick now, because that feeling - everything being too flat - usually gets a bit less once you can actually see what colors you want, even if it’s unshaded

I know, i really should do that. Pick a pallete and all. But it’s also the shading. I guess it feels too neat for something i wanted to do quick? I stiffen so quickly in my way of working. Maybe i’ll just start over with some parts, try to do it a bit more loose!

From last sunday.

I often want to make stuff with watercolors but then i kinda pull a blanc and don’t know what to draw. So this time i just went with the “blind scribble” move and went along from there. Long stretched lady it is!

I still try to control the paint too much and i’m yet too carefull with the saturation of the colors, so i patched it up a bit with colorpencils. But i’ll get there! Just another material i want to master haha.

This aquarel tape kinda sucks though.. it rips everything apart when i try to remove it. Sticking with regular painting tape next time!
